S/O to Bannister’s in East Point for donating (reupholstering) our seats for the #mobilemakeovers bus! We are less than two weeks away until we launch!

Have you ever collected many small puzzle pieces, and somehow it dawns on you that they all make up a bigger picture?
Well, that’s what has happened and keeps happening with our #mobilemakeovers project! The other day, my daughter and I decided to take the two front seats to a reupholstery shop five minutes away from the office… Upon our arrival, I spoke with the owner, showed him the seats, and waited for an estimate.
Little did I know he’d ask me why were we wanting the seats to be redone… Well, I shared our story and he got this look in his eyes… He looked at the seats, and then looked at me and said, “God wants me to help you… You all are out there ministering to people… we will do them at no charge!”
This touched me so much because little by little God has provided through random people to help us piece together our first mobile project!
Huge S/O to Banister’s Upholstery!

On Saturday, Michael Tucker and Guy Laman completed a 330 mile journey to Atlanta from Kentucky. When they arrived at the finish line, there was a crowd of folks to cheer them on.
It was amazingly humbling to have these two sacrifice their time and energy to help raise thousands of hygiene items to go inside the #mobilemakeovers bus.

This past weekend, our team led by Dave Douglass completed more work on the inside of the bus. It has been an amazing journey. We look forward to getting the bus on the road by the end of the month.
Below is a picture of Carlos & Andrew working on wiring the barbershop/salon in the first section.

Yesterday, #lovebeyondwalls presented at Woodward Academy (to student leaders & staff) and shared the story surrounding the #mobilemakeovers bus, reasons for being compassionate, and issues surrounding those faced with poverty & homelessness. We are excited to see what project the students launch to assist us with our bus project!
